Alberta features a talented and diverse music community well-versed in numerous disciplines bringing entertainment to Albertans across the province. Home to countless music festivals and opportunities to enjoy live music, Alberta’s music scene has something for everyone – performers and consumers alike.

The AFA is proud to support musical artists and arts presenters in both making Alberta a viable place for musicians to develop their craft and ensuring that Albertans have access to musical entertainment across the province.

Alberta Music Industry Association - a non-profit, service-based association dedicated to helping professionals in the music industry succeed in their careers. 

Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI) - collects license fees on behalf of songwriters, composers and music publishers and distributes them as royalties to those members whose works have been performed.

Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency Ltd. (CMRRA) -  a non-profit music licensing agency, which represents the vast majority of music copyright owners (usually called music publishers) doing business in Canada.

Canadian Music Centre - exists to stimulate the awareness, appreciation and performance of Canadian new music by making the music of its Associate Composers available through the Centre's collection, information resources, and production and distribution services.

Canadian Independent Music Association(CIMA) - the trade organization representing the independent sector of the Canadian music and sound recording industry and the collective voice of independent music in English-speaking .

Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA) -  is a non-profit trade organization founded in 1964 that promotes the interests of its members as well as their partners, the artists. 

FACTOR - dedicated to providing assistance toward the growth and development of the Canadian independent music industry. 

MuchFACT - The groundbreaking music video, epk, viral video and website prdocutino fund exclusively funded by MUCH and MUCHMORE.

MusiCounts - mission is to ensure that children in , regardless of socio-economic circumstances and cultural background, have access to a music program through their school.

Musicians Union - the largest organization in the world representing the interests of professional musicians. 

SOCAN Foundation - dedicated to fostering musical creativity and promoting a better understanding of the role of music creators in today's society.

Songwriters Association of Canada - a friendly community of songwriters here to support each other in the creative journey that also advocates on behalf of songwriters to protect the value of our work.
