The Alberta Foundation for the Arts is currently not accepting nominations for the Marion Nicholl Visual Arts Award, the Grant MacEwan Literary Arts Award, and the Tommy Banks Performing Arts Award until further notice.

Scholarships

The Alberta Foundation for the Arts and Alberta Culture and Community Services offer three scholarship programs designed to support the development of young Albertans in the literary, performing and visual arts. The deadline for all three scholarship programs is May 1 annually.

Grant MacEwan Literary Arts Scholarship

Two scholarships are awarded by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts to two young Albertans who demonstrate talent and potential along with clear educational or training goals in the literary arts. These scholarships are to be used for a formal program of literary arts study or mentorship at any post-secondary institution or other recognized organization. The value of each scholarship is $5000.

Queen's Golden Jubilee Scholarship for Performing Arts

This scholarship is awarded by Alberta Culture and Community Services to a student who demonstrates talent and potential along with clear educational or training goals in the performing arts. One scholarship is awarded annually to a young Albertan 25 years of age or younger. The value of the scholarship is $5000.
