Brian Webb Dance Company presents Molly McDermott: in and out of dark.

in and out of dark features very inventive dancing with vivid interpretations of macabre children's stories where fear may even become pleasurable! The result is magical!

in and out of dark is a new work by Molly McDermott, featuring 5 Edmonton-based artists. Inspired by macabre children’s stories, the work delves into surreal and nightmarish imagery. When we are afraid, it can sometimes feel pleasurable and other times it crosses a line into something more like fear. Fear has a heavy presence in our world, what if we approach this reality from a place of play?

With heightened proprioception, the dancers stretch time, and push their physicality through space alongside the expansive sound design performed live by Will Scott.
