This show is a departure in every sense of the word from what you may have come to expect from Mary-Leigh. With it she takes herself and the viewer on a quest. As her paintings took shape she seized the opportunity to realize a lifelong dream and has written a story around them. She has created her first children’s book… for adults. Annette’s beautiful calligraphy completed the project and now they look forward to the possibility of a second book already in the works. Whimsical sculptures accompany the paintings and there will be signed and numbered artist’s proofs of the book available at the opening. The show runs from June 3 - 28 and the art reception is Friday June 6 from 6:30 -9:00pm. In addition join us on Neighbour Day for a carving/painting demo by Mary-Leigh Saturday June 14 from 12:00 - 3:00pm.

A celebration of fantastical art, sculpture, and calligraphy! Get ready to turn the page on ordinary. Mary-Leigh Doyle and Annette Wichmann introduce you to a brand-new storybook world sprung to vivid life!
