It has come to our attention that, following the 2024 fires, many Jasper residents are still not in their permanent homes. Some are not even living in Jasper and are feeling increasingly isolated. Why does this matter to us? Because we are an art space dedicated to experience, engagement, and creative exploration—and few things help sustain a sense of community like the arts.
For winter 2025/2026, Jasper Habitat for the Arts is partnering with the Red Cross to help Jasperites stay meaningfully engaged in both communities. We are also thrilled to welcome Denise Lefevre of Red Pepper Paint Parties to the region this February—one of four planned events designed to nurture togetherness through creativity. Two Communities ~ One heART.
One of the other events is a February ONE MINUTE film festival...to revive the Jasper Short Film Festival. Anyone can submit a film, criteria is available by contacting habitatforthearts@gmail.com
