Apply Now - Catalyst Musical Theatre Bootcamp

Are you a young performer aspiring to a career on the stage? A theatre student looking to sharpen your skills? Want to explore multiple facets of performance with internationally celebrated artists?

As Alberta's pre-eminent theatrical export with credits from New York’s Broadway district to London’s West End, Catalyst Theatre is excited to bring our decades of musical theatre experience to young actors in Edmonton with our first-ever MUSICAL THEATRE BOOTCAMP!

This three-week intensive program will include training in singing, acting, text and interpretation, movement and choreography, rehearsal techniques, and performance as participants explore award-winning musical works from the Catalyst canon such as NEVERMORE, HUNCHBACK, FRANKENSTEIN and VIGILANTE.

Participants will train with an international cohort of Catalyst's core creative team of artists, including Artistic Director Jonathan Christenson – acclaimed director, writer and composer of over 20 original Canadian productions. Under the guidance of these career artists, participants will gain insight into our distinct creative approach and learn about the unique style of a Catalyst production, culminating in a musical showcase.
