This February, Deep Freeze is proud to present the Rhythms of the Earth Visual Art Gallery, showcasing the talent and stories of two remarkable artists: Gabrielle Songolo and Khiry Tafari.

Bird Sanctuary Concert

Da Camera Singers upcoming concert features Edmonton singer/songwriter sensation Mallory Chipman, who will join us to share her research and her beautiful music about Alberta’s endangered and at-risk birds. Mallory’s 2023 album, As though I had wings is a solo EP reflecting her love of nature, and specifically, bird calls. As described on her website:

Have you taken Stand Up 101, or an introduction to Stand Up Comedy and want to expand your knowledge and Stand Up toolbox more? Take Grindstone Theatre Schools Spring Stand Up 201 class!

**There is no class on April 21st and May 19th, 2025**

In this advanced program, rookie comics and Stand Up 101 graduates can expect a class that's focused on feedback on their writing. Got a joke that's not connecting? A premise you want to flesh out? Let's work on it together! Heads up, this program is more of a joke laboratory than a traditional class! Join Alex Jocko, local comedian and show producer, as we dive deep into joke writing and experimentation.

Museum Skills Workshops: Moccasin Preservation

Tickets: $21 (includes RAM admission and all materials) This workshop is free for Indigenous Peoples.


Do you have a pair of moccasins you no longer wear but keep for sentimental reasons? Preserving them with proper storage will allow you to carry the memory of not only the places they have been, but of the people who wore them.

This daring and innovative concert invites you to experience new sounds, stories, and perspectives as we celebrate the end of another remarkable choral season.

The program will feature Furiouser and Spuriouser, a thought-provoking work by Canadian composer Jason Noble. This composition tackles the pressing issues of our digital age, delving into the dangers and complexities of social media with a bold and evocative musical narrative. The choir will also perform The Stolen Child by Eric Whitacre, with its imaginative and hauntingly beautiful soundscape.

This concert is an invitation to step outside the box and embrace the unexpected. With its mix of contemporary compositions and emerging talent, the evening promises to be a vibrant and unforgettable exploration of modern choral music. Come with open ears and an open mind, and join us in celebrating the creativity and innovation that defines Pro Coro Canada’s unique approach to choral performance.

SkirtsAfire presents Dance Nation

Somewhere in America, an army of pre-teen competitive dancers navigate ambition, friendship and desire, as they plot to take over the world. And if their new routine is good enough, they’ll claw their way to the top at Nationals in Tampa Bay. Each plié and jeté puts them one step further from childhood and one step closer to discovering their own identities.

Good Friday with Pro Coro Canada and I Coristi

Join us for an evening of introspection and beauty, as the German Requiem’s profound message of human suffering and hope is brought to life at Pro Coro Canada’s annual Good Friday concert, offering a perfect blend of tradition, artistry, and reflection.

Pro Coro Canada’s guest for this special performance is I Coristi, under the direction of Rob Curtis, adding further depth and resonance to this choral event. The performance will be accompanied by the skilled pianists Leanne Regehr and Roger Admiral, whose interpretation of the two-piano arrangement brings a unique and intimate dimension to Brahms’ work.

This concert also highlights emerging talent with featured soloists Erin Moore, soprano, and Connor Hoppenbrouwers, baritone, showcasing the next generation of exceptional vocalists.

Experience a profound and moving Good Friday tradition with this sublime masterwork as the centrepiece of our annual reflection on the Passion of Christ, offering a deeply spiritual and emotional journey through Brahms’ rich, romantic composition.
