About the ADFA

The Alberta Drama Festival Association is a volunteer, not-for-profit organization whose mandate is to encourage, develop and maintain community theatre in Alberta. The main vehicle for pursuing this mandate is the adult, non-professional One-Act Play Festivals held throughout Alberta. Regional organizations in each of the nine zones host annual festivals which bring together community groups in a celebration and sharing of theatre excellence.

About the Pumphouse Theatre

For over 50 years, The Pumphouse Theatre has been a home for Calgary’s emerging performing arts scene. In any given year more than a dozen companies will produce over 35 shows in the two theatres. The many diverse groups that perform at the Pumphouse Theatre range from large established companies to small up-and-coming artists’ collectives. The Pumphouse Theatre is committed not only to providing a high-quality venue for the arts but also to keeping the venue affordable for Calgary’s arts community.
