About Carve Carve Carnival A/P’s Summer Print Market
Alberta Printmakers (A/P) is inviting artists who incorporate print-media in their work to participate in our Summer Print Market that will take place from July 27 – September 20, 2024!
This is a non-juried opportunity that is open to A/P members (new and returning members welcome!), and MANY different types of 2-D print-based works are eligible!

This market will serve to support and showcase members, while also raising vital funds toward A/P’s sustained community programming, with artists receiving 60% of sales.
In return, A/P will facilitate the market, including promotions merchandizing displays, and sales processing and commission payments.
And – The sale will kick-off with our grand Carve Carve Carnival event, which will include a variety of indoor/outdoor family-friendly printmaking activities on Saturday, July 27, 2024.
This event and summer-long market is intended to:
- Present a wide variety of members’ work to a public audience
- Engage the public and inspire a love for print through a variety of print media at a range of accessible price points
- Support artists through the sale of their works
- Raise funds to support A/P’s sustained community programming
Who can submit?
- This opportunity is open to anyone with a current A/P membership who works in print-based media.
- New and returning members are welcome!
- As this is a non-juried opportunity, A/P will accept all submissions that adhere to the artwork guidelines and submission steps outlined below.
Fees
- There is no submission fee to take part.
- A/P membership must be up to date; any new or expired membership must be paid before or upon registering for this market.
- Distance artists whose work must be returned by mail must include return postage when sending their artwork to A/P.
- Artists will be paid 60% of their artwork sales, with A/P retaining the 40% fundraising commission.
- Payments to artists will be made during each month of the market (July, August, and September) and will be made within 30 days of the last day of each month.
- A/P will submit payment by mail. Please make sure we have your correct address!
Market dates
- The Market will kick off during our grand Carve Carve Carnival event, which will include a variety of indoor/outdoor family-friendly printmaking activities on Saturday, July 27, 2024.
- The market will then be on display during regular A/P open hours until it closes on September 20, 2024
- The last day of the market will coincide with the final day of A/P’s Lasting Impressions Member exhibition, which will run from August 24 – September 20, 2024
