GWDC’s newest work is brewing – This quartet simmers in simplicity. It is a window through which we see different perspectives; through which time slows and speeds. Bodies and minds are heightened as legs fly up and skin meets the floor.
FACE2FACE aims to use choreographic languages to show the intrinsic interconnectedness between humans. The viewers will follow two dancers and their previously recorded selves as they explore themselves in each other and the shadows of who they were on the screens.
The artists intend to bring seamless integration and momentary synchronization between video, live dancers, and music and – at the same time – create an illusion for the audience that oscillates around past and present.
Tickets for Convergence are $25 (student) and $30 general admission and are available at goodwomen.ca.
