Kensington Sinfonia is launching into another realm with the ethereal sounds of Broxson, brought to life by percussionist Chris Sies in Saturn, still returning.

This exciting concert also features students from the Central Memorial Strings program performing Calgary composer Donovan Seidle's newest piece, Wildies, a tribute to the wild horse bands that roam freely across Alberta.

The program continues with:

  • Klezmer Dances by Calgary composer Daniel Pelton, inspired by Shostakovich’s iconic String Quartet No. 8
  • Missy Mazzoli’s groundbreaking Enthusiasm Strategies
  • and Cris Derksen’s powerful White Mans Cattle, a chilling commentary on Alberta's history.

Returns, takes place on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church in Calgary.

Tickets are $35 each, with free admission for students under 18, and are available online through Eventbrite or at the door.
