Baker Miller Pink presents The Painter and the Lake at Vertigo Theatre

Baker Miller Pink presents “The Painter and The Lake”, a brand-new Canadian multidisciplinary show by Cayley Wreggitt and Samantha Ketsa. Peter, a down-on-his-luck painter, has hit a rut. In search of a muse, he traverses the Kananaskis backcountry until he discovers Lillian, a pristine mountain lake. But something sinister lurks beneath her surface, unearthing ghosts from Peter's past and challenging his relationship to art as a passion and a profession. “The Painter and The Lake” is presented by Baker Miller Pink as a Resident Company of Vertigo Theatre.

Baker Miller Pink is a multidisciplinary collective based in both Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta. As an ensemble of early-career artists, BMP has built a reputation for facilitating uplifting and collaborative creative projects. Baker Miller Pink’s primary collaborators are Samantha Ketsa, a dancer and choreographer, playwright/director Cayley Wreggitt, and performer/director Chelsea Howell-Fellows. BMP is currently a Resident Company at Vertigo Theatre, where they recently presented “I’m Gonna Marry You Tobey Maguire” by Samantha Hurley.

“The Painter and The Lake” by Cayley Wreggitt and Samantha Ketsa performs in The Studio at Vertigo Theatre from Thursday April 9th to Sunday April 12th at 7pm nightly, with matinee performances at 1pm on April 11th and 12th.
