AFA Board of Directors - Gwen Snell

Gwen Snell enjoyed a successful career in municipal administration for over 35 years where she worked closely with communities to plan and develop facilities with programs that enhance life for all ages. An active volunteer in provincial, regional and local boards, she finds it rewarding to contribute. Her passion for amateur theatre has resulted in several appearances on the stage. She has been the driving force behind the return of musicals in her community, including two junior productions. Her volunteer efforts include event management with “Music in the Park” each summer in the Town of Hanna and taking an active role with local arts/music groups. Her work as a freelance journalist focused upon positive “good news” stories that recognized ordinary people who achieve the extraordinary. For Gwen, it is an honour and privilege to contribute towards supporting Alberta’s extraordinary arts community.
