Take Space is a community-focused creative initiative that challenges traditional expectations of art-making by creating accessible, welcoming spaces where people can explore creativity without judgement, pressure, or prescribed outcomes.

Through guided creative experiences, Take Space encourages people to experiment, express themselves, challenge perceptions, and connect with others. No artistic experience is necessary. The focus is not on creating something beautiful or technically perfect, but on discovering what happens when people are given the freedom to create without expectations.

At its heart, Take Space is about making creativity accessible, strengthening community connections, and challenging the idea that art must meet a particular standard to have value. By working with local organizations, artists, and communities, Take Space creates opportunities for shared experiences, personal exploration, and meaningful connection.

It is about giving people permission to take up space, explore their own creativity, and recognize that their expression has value.

Take Space is a guided creative experience designed to make art more accessible, without the pressure of getting it right. Challenging the norms of traditional art workshops and the idea of what makes art good, we offer a welcoming, non-judgemental space for those who may never have considered themselves creative, haven't had the opportunity to explore art, or simply want to try something different. No experience necessary, no prescribed outcome. Just the freedom to experiment, express yourself and see where the process takes you.

Each Take Space experience explores a different theme, offering new perspectives and opportunities to challenge how we think and create.

This experience, Resonance, explores the words we carry with us. A lyric, a quote, or something someone once said that stayed with us and became meaningful. Through guided creative exploration, we'll use these words as inspiration, translating their personal significance into something visual on canvas.
